Maya P. Greene has been capturing photographs since the age of seven under the guidance of her mother and later father. Her influences are Gordon Parks, Lorna Simpson, Carrie Mae Weems, James Van Der Zee, Annie Leibovitz and Jamal Shabazz.

She received a BFA in photography from Pratt Institute and currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.
